Description
A valve spring compressor set (also known as a valve spring compression tool) is a set of tools for dismantling and assembling the valves in an engine's cylinder head.
It is used to compress the valve springsso that you can safely remove or fit:
- valve collets (keepers / half-cones)
- valve springs
- valve stem seals
What it is used for
- Replacing valves
- Replacing valve stem seals (oil seals)
- Cylinder head repair
- Engine overhaul
What the set usually includes

Important
The tool lets you work without damaging the valves or cylinder head, because the springs are under high tension and removing them by hand is unsafe and practically impossible.
