Good to know
After changing the cylinder, exhaust or carburettor, remove the plug after a dozen or so kilometres and check its colour – this is a quick way to tell whether the heat range and mixture are right. Tighten a new plug with a washer fully by hand and then roughly another half turn with a spanner.
