MVTPremiumInner Rotor Ignition System withLighting for Piaggio 50cc scooters like Piaggio Zip, Piaggio NRG, Gilera Stalker (before 2003) is good an alternative if you want to replace the original ignition system with a more powerful one, keeping the 12 V power source for the vehicle lighting.
Benefits of MVT Premium ignition
- Simple adjustment (no micrometer; ignition is set to 0 before TDC by accurately aligning both markings with TDC)
- For daily use on the road
- With 12 V power supply
- Higher RPM gain due to small rotor
For even more power you can use the MVT Eprom box to convert from analog to digital ignition. Recommended for high-end racing systems.
Fits Piaggio and Gilera AC and LC up to 2003. Cannot be installed on crankshafts with M12 thread (ignition side).
NOTE: MVT Premium ignition systems were replaced in 2023, the coil and CDI are now a single component. Therefore, there is no longer a blue wire for limiting the RPM; the current wiring instructions instructions will be temporarily incorrect.
