Electric starter
A starter most often fails because of worn brushes or a worn starter drive. If all you hear when pressing the button is the relay clicking, first check the battery, earth lead and contacts. Choose a new starter by engine family and mounting points.
Ignition kits and windings
An ignition kit (stator, rotor, CDI) consists of matched parts, so replacing the whole kit makes it easier to avoid incompatibility. A weak spark or hard starting when the engine is hot often points to a damaged winding. The product name states which engine and ignition type the part is for.
Bearings and cables
Gearbox bearings are chosen by dimensions (inner and outer diameter, width) – a whine while riding often indicates a worn bearing. On a geared scooter, the clutch cable is worth replacing when it becomes stiff or stretches and the clutch no longer disengages fully.

How do I know the ignition winding has failed?
The most common signs are a weak or intermittent spark, the engine cutting out when hot or being hard to start. Before replacing the winding, check the spark plug and plug cap – sometimes replacing them is enough.
When should I replace the gearbox bearings?
When the gearbox starts whining, you hear a metallic noise or the wheel develops play. Once the gearbox is apart, it is worth replacing all the bearings and oil seals at once, as the amount of work is the same.
Can I buy a complete engine block?
Yes, the catalogue includes a TEC engine block for the Minarelli AM6 engine. The block is replaced when the old one is cracked or the bearing housings are damaged – check the engine number and version before buying.
