About Buzzetti
Choosing a side stand by model
A side stand mounts to the frame or engine, so it is made for a specific model and generation. For example, the Gilera Runner up to 2005 and later models have different mountings. It is worth replacing the stand's spring and pivot bolt along with the stand if they are worn or rusty.
Flywheel puller
A flywheel (rotor) puller is needed to remove the ignition rotor from the crankshaft – without one it is easy to damage the rotor or the end of the crankshaft. The puller is chosen by thread, e.g. 20x1 for Peugeot, M24x1.5 for Derbi and Morini, 19x1/22x1.5 for MBK, Derbi and Rieju engines.
Clutch and variator tools
Variator and clutch nuts are tightened with a lot of force, so undoing them requires a holder that stops the variator or clutch bell from turning. A dedicated tool protects the parts from damage and lets you tighten the nut again to the correct torque specified by the manufacturer.
Frequently asked questions
Will a Buzzetti stand fit my scooter?
Yes, if your scooter's model and year match those given in the product name. As stand mountings differ even between generations of the same model, if in doubt email your model and year to info@scootershop.lt.
How do I choose a flywheel puller?
The puller is chosen by the rotor's internal thread, which depends on the engine – e.g. Peugeot, Derbi, Morini or MBK. The thread dimensions are given in the product name, so compare them with your engine.
Can the variator nut be undone without a special tool?
You can try, but it is risky – holding the variator with the wrong tool can easily break the fan blades or damage parts. A dedicated holder makes the job safe and quick.
Do you sell centre stands?
Yes, the catalogue includes a Buzzetti centre stand for the Piaggio Zip 50–100 4T and Vespa ET4, LX, S models. A centre stand is chosen by model and engine type, as the mountings differ.
