Cable tensioner M6, made by RMS. It screws into the end of the cable outer and lets you adjust the cable free play without dismantling anything – just turn the adjuster.

Good to know
A cable adjuster comes in handy when fitting a universal cable or when the old adjuster has cracked. Once you have set the free play, tighten the locknut so the adjuster doesn't work loose from vibration.
