About LeoVince

TT, Sito or SitoPlus

The TT is a sporty LeoVince exhaust with a more pronounced sound, designed for standard and lightly tuned engines; the TT Black is the same design in black. The Sito and SitoPlus are most often chosen when you need to replace a worn or rusted original exhaust and carry on riding every day without major engine tuning.

How to choose by engine

Scooter exhausts are made for a specific engine family, because the mounting points and exhaust flange differ. The Minarelli horizontal is fitted to the Yamaha Aerox and MBK Nitro, the Minarelli vertical to the Yamaha BWS and MBK Booster, the Peugeot vertical to the Speedfight and Trekker, and the Piaggio / Gilera to the Zip, Typhoon, NRG and Runner. Pay attention to cooling too: exhausts for air-cooled and liquid-cooled versions may differ.

Fitting and mixture

When replacing an exhaust, always use a new exhaust gasket – an old one often leaks gas and causes a blowing noise. A sport exhaust changes how the engine breathes, so after fitting it is worth checking the spark plug colour and adjusting the carburettor jet if necessary. A mixture that is too lean overheats the piston.

Frequently asked questions

Will a LeoVince exhaust fit my scooter?

It will fit if the engine family and model given in the product name match (e.g. Minarelli horizontal, Peugeot vertical, Piaggio / Gilera). If you don't know which engine you have, email your scooter model and year to info@scootershop.lt – we'll advise you.

What does the (E) marking in the exhaust name mean?

(E) shows that the exhaust is homologated and carries the European E mark. These exhausts are intended for use on public roads, but only with the models specified by the manufacturer, so always check compatibility.

Do I need to change the carburettor settings after fitting a LeoVince TT?

The standard settings are often enough, but a sport exhaust can lean the mixture slightly. After a ride, check the spark plug: a light brown colour indicates the right mixture, white means too lean, in which case it is worth increasing the main jet.

How does the X-Fight differ from the TT?

The X-Fight is designed for 50 cc geared motorcycles such as the Derbi Senda, Gilera SMT or Yamaha DT, while the TT is for automatic scooters. Both are sport exhausts, but their shape and mounting are designed for different frames and engine families.
