Cylinder set Stage6 Sport Pro MKII 70cc

Stage6 Sport Pro MKII 70cc is an advanced aluminum cylinder kit designed for intensive daily and sport use. The updated MKII version is significantly improved compared to its predecessor and is focused on maximum power return in the 70cc class while maintaining a high level of durability.

Ports and gas flow

The design of the MKII has 6 transfer ports, which improve mixture filling and combustion efficiency.
The exhaust port is of increased volume and optimized shape, so the gas flow comes out faster and cleaner. All port geometry is designed to allow the cylinder to perform aggressively from mid-to-high revs, yet maintain good low-end thrust.

Piston and Compression

The one-ring lightweight piston in the kit features a sporty domed head.
The thin ring reduces friction, improves engine response and maintains high compression. This design allows the MKII to achieve significantly higher power potential than most other sports cylinders.

Cylinder head and cooling

One-piece head with optimized flow channels helps dissipate heat efficiently.
A stable operating temperature is especially important during long runs at high revs.
Optimal squish gap: 0.60-0.80 mm.

Power and Character

A properly matched cylinder can produce about 14-17 hp depending on the exhaust system, carburetor and crankshaft.
The MKII has a very lively engine response, quick revs carpet and a strong "impact" of medium revolutions, which is one of the most prominent in the sports category.

Compliance and compatibility

This cylinder works best with:

• 21-24 mm PWK type carburettors

• Mid-race exhaust systems (eg: Stage6 R1400, Yasuni C16)

• Reinforced crankshafts (eg: Stage6 HPC, Malossi RHQ, Jasil High Tech)

• Correctly tuned variator transmission

  • Ideally with an oversize type variator

In order to achieve the full power potential, a quality exhaust system is necessary - with an original or weak sports muffler, the cylinder will not produce the necessary revs.
